Our Library offers homebound and group home service

The Finkelstein Memorial Library provides free delivery of library materials to homebound residents of the East Ramapo Central School District. If you or a loved one is sick, elderly, disabled or homebound for any reason, please contact us.

Available through home delivery is a large selection of novels in regular print and large print, including bestsellers, non-fiction books and books on CD.

You can specify which items you would like delivered or you can allow a librarian to choose items for you according to your stated interests, e.g., mysteries, romance, history, etc. Once the items are available, library staff or volunteers will deliver the order and pick up the materials according to a regular delivery schedule.

Anyone who qualifies and lives in the East Ramapo Central School District may use the program.

To inquire, please call the library at (845) 352-5700 ext. 293. Librarian Judy Joseph manages the program and will be happy to speak with you.

In 2007, we introduced a new Group Home Delivery Program. Collections of 50 books, including both large and regular print titles, are sent to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our community.
