Summer Loans 2008

Planning a long trip this summer? Certain books and audiobooks may be borrowed for extended summer loan from the library.

This year "Summer Loan" begins Monday, JUNE 23; books are due back Monday, SEPT. 8.

1. Patrons, including RCLS patrons from outside the East Ramapo School District, may borrow materials for summer loan.

2. Only books and audio books acquired before 2007 are eligible for summer loan. No other AV material is available for summer loan.

3. BOOKS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SUMMER LOAN

“Express” books (7-day loan)
Two-week books and Cover-to-Cover Club books
Books that the library has had less than one year, including McNaughton books
New paperbacks (2008)
Books on reserve
Summer reading list books
YA Graphic Novels
Children’s Graphic Novels
Children’s series books
Books from the Traditional Jewish Literature collection
Travel guides

Any exceptions must be approved by either an Adult Services or Children’s librarian

4. Date due cards will be provided for patrons who want them.

SUMMER RESIDENTS

Patrons moving to the East Ramapo School District as summer residents may apply for FML membership by paying a fee of $75.00. A refund of $60.00 will be given when all materials have been returned, any charges cleared, and the card is returned to the Library at the end of the summer.

Summer Residents may borrow only FML materials. Material from other RCLS libraries may not be borrowed either on-site or through interlibrary loan.
