After-hours
Book Pickup…
The Library’s new after-hours book service is now available to Finkelstein cardholders. This extension of library service will allow commuters and others with hectic schedules to pick up books (no AV materials) during the hours that the Library is closed by accessing a secure lockbox outside the entrance. Requests for after-hours pick-up may be placed by telephone, up to two hours before closing, for either new reserves, or for those that are already waiting on the reserve shelf for which patrons have received notices. To ensure that a box is available and that all books will fit, all requests must be confirmed by the Circulation Department. How do I access the lockbox? Finkelstein Borrowers will use the last seven digits of their library card barcode to open the lockbox. Pick-up is available only during one continuous period that the Library is closed. Books that are not picked up by the time the Library reopens will be removed and placed on the appropriate reserve shelf inside the Library for the remainder of the reserve period. How do I request this service? To request service, call the Library’s main telephone
number (352-5700 ext. 249) and indicate whether you are placing a new
reserve for pick up, or an existing one. We look forward to hearing your
comments about this new effort to extend library service. |
