Tax Help in 2019
The Library wants to make filing taxes as clear and easy as possible, offering free, walk-in tax preparaton assistance and resources.
AARP Tax-Aide volunteer tax preparers are available to assist in the preparation of state and federal tax returns at the library during tax season on Monday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Preference is given to low to moderate income taxpayers.

MONDAYS: 10 AM TO 2 PM
WEDNESDAYS: 3 PM TO 7 PM
(Numbers will be handed out between 2 pm and 6 pm (while they last); in first-come-first-serve order.
Please bring with you: Photo ID; notices and forms received from the IRS and NYS; social security cards for yourself and your dependents; W-2 forms; ALL 1099 forms; forms indicating federal income tax paid; dependent care provider information; Form 1095-A , for Medical Insurance that was purchased through the Marketplace; ALL receipts or cancelled checks for income and property taxes paid, and for charitable contributions; and copies of Federal and State returns filed last year. PRINTED TAX FORMS ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE LIBRARY
Tax forms and information from federal and state agencies can be obtained online. Printouts of forms/instructions can be made by patrons on library computers. Charges for printing apply. A single copy of a form online may be provided when printed forms are not available. These forms will be found on the second floor of the Library near the reference desk.
