LIBRARY CARDS

Library cards are free to all East Ramapo Central School District residents, property owners and employees of the school district. Employees of businesses, summer residents and non-residents willing to pay membership fees may also qualify. Please call the library to determine if you qualify.

Library cards may be obtained by presenting one form of picture identification verifying current name and East Ramapo School District address, or a picture ID with one additional form of address.

Acceptable picture IDs include:

-NYS Drivers license
-NYS DMV identification card
-Senior Citizen’s identification card
-Official school ID or bus pass

Additional address verification:

-Recent utility bill
-Checkbook
-Automobile registration
-Voter registration card
-Property tax bill
-Lease

If you do not have a picture ID, it might be possible to issue a library card for use at Finkelstein Library only. (Borrowing from the area’s other independent libraries is governed by agreement by all members of the Ramapo- Catskill Library System, which includes the picture ID requirement.)
