Become
a Literacy Volunteer and make a difference in someone’s life! The
programs at literacy volunteers are designed to help community adults
read, write and speak English. Volunteers are trained to work with
students on a one to one basis, approximately one to two hours a week
at mutually convenient times at Finkelstein Memorial Library and other libraries located throughout the county.
Some common goals for students are to speak English, become more involved
in their communities, obtain U.S. citizenship, fill out employment applications,
earn their GEDs or help their children with their homework. If
you are over 18 and interested in making a difference in someone’s
life, please call to attend a future tutor training
workshop. Contact: |
