Local History at FML

The Local History collection is now located in the "Founders' Room" on the second floor of the Finkelstein Memorial Library in Spring Valley. The room is open to all individuals who wish to study its unique collection of Rockland County resources. Visitors will find over 1,500 volumes on a variety of subjects of local interest, including town and county government, history, ecology, and genealogy. A newspaper clipping file, dating from the 1970s, as well as numerous historical photographs and maps are also available.

The photos displayed within this site are among those included in the Local History collection at the Finkelstein Memorial Library. Short descriptions may be read by placing your computer mouse over a given picture.
