This traditional big band of nineteen musicians led by trumpeter Paul Bastone will play the music of the big bands of the 1930s and 1940s. Benny Goodman, Harry James, Glen Miller, Count Basie and other favorites of the period.

August 9 (Thursday) at 7 p.m.
Barry and Maxine Jaffe of Charisma
Barry and Maxine Jaffe are an exciting song and dance team.
Barry plays the piano as well and is happy to take requests. Both Barry and Maxine sing songs in various styles and different languages such as Yiddish and Spanish and of course, traditional popular American songs from various decades. A show usually consists of five numbers, which include what the Jaffes characterize as a two-part swing, a wilder, "throwing-type" swing, a Fred Astaire/ballroom-style dance, a mambo and a bolero.
This is an indoor concert.
Sunday, August 19 at 2 p.m.
The Burr Johnson Band
We are a trio of guitar, bass, and drums, playing a fusion of Jazz, Rock, Funk, and Blues. Our goals are to put forward fun and complex compositions in a bed of highly energetic playing. Music for musicians. We strive to play music that is as much fun to play as it is to listen to. The band has shared tones with some of the best players you will likely hear. It is so much fun to play together with true believers in excellence in instrumental music. The songs are usually very involved and intricate (true to the style of fusion). But there is also groove oriented material and even some vocals. Lots of MIDI guitar stuff which really increases the overall presence of the band.
This is an indoor concert.
