Our music concert series will run on the Sundays shown below. All of the concerts are FREE. Some concerts will take place in the Library's Fielding Room on the third floor. Others take place in the evening outside of the library (weather permitting). Please mark your calendars!

A Concert Version of The Mikado

A Concert Version of The Mikado, a comic opera in two acts, by Gilbert and Sullivan. Performed by the Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Co.

The Ridgewood Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, one of the oldest continuing musical theater groups in the country, has presented full productions of the works of Gilbert and Sullivan on a regular schedule since its founding in 1937. For over 70 years they have delighted audiences with the timeless jollity of The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, H.M.S. Pinafore and many more.

This concert will take place in our Fielding Room.

ramapo sax quartet Sunday, November 10 at 2 p.m.

Ramapo Saxophone Quartet

This saxophone quartet features swing, ragtime and Dixieland Jazz as well as some patriotic numbers on this day before Veterans' Day. Come, sit back and enjoy!

This concert will take place in our Fielding Room.


Sunday, December 15 at 7 p.m.

Capitol Heights Lyric Opera


The Capitol Heights Lyric Opera returns to the library for a program of Canzone d' Amore. Mezzo Soprano Frances Devine and Baritone Richard Casell perform Italian Love songs including opera, musical theater and Neapolitan songs.
