Summer/Fall 2013 Music Concerts at the
Finkelstein Memorial Library

Our summer/fall music concert series will run through September on the Sundays shown below. All of the concerts are FREE. Some concerts will take place in the Library's Fielding Room on the third floor. Others take place in the evening outside of the library (weather permitting).

Sunday, July 14 at 2 p.m.

Divas with Soul: Eve Fingal

This dynamic young vocalist Eve Fingal and her band will perform selections from artists such as Whitney Houston, Carol King, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Celine Dion and similar artists.

This concert will take place in our Fielding Room.

Sunday, July 28 at 7 p.m.

Banjo Rascals: Ragtime to Swing to Rock and Roll

Enjoy an evening with music from Ragtime to Swing to Rock and Roll with these talented, personable and high energy performers.

sinatra tribute

Sunday, August 18 at 2 p.m.

A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra


Tony D'Anna and Marie DePaul Calfa sing Sinatra classics along with some original songs by Marie.

This concert will take place in our Fielding Room.

Sunday, August 25 at 7 p.m.

Brass Quintessence: from Jazz to Classical and Everything in-between.

You will want to tap your feet and clap your hands to the Jazz, Dixieland/Rags and popular classical and contemporary tunes of this popular brass quintet.

Sunday, September 8 at 7 p.m.

Jamccar Ekklipse Youth Steel Band

 

Under the direction of Mr. Richard Nathan, these talented young musicians will perform Calypso, Swing, Reggae and Latin Music on the steel drums.

A Concert Version of The Mikado


A Concert Version of The Mikado, a comic opera in two acts, by Gilbert and Sullivan. Performed by the Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Co.

ramapo sax quartetSunday, November 10 at 2 p.m.

Ramapo Saxophone Quartet


This quartet will have you tapping your feet to Swing, Ragtime and Dixieland Jazz as well as some patriotic numbers since it is the day before Veterans'Day.
