The Finkelstein Memorial Library updates the databases patrons can use to research topics to get you the information you are searching for. To get started you'll need your library card bar code number (on the back of your card). Visit the database home page to find a wealth of information just a click away.
InfoTrac Nursing and
Allied Health Collection

The Nursing and Allied Health Collection allows you to access the leading scientific nursing and allied health journals, newsletters, and magazines. This is a useful tool if you already are or studying to be an LPN, RN, therapist, dental hygienist or any other health care professional. As of December 18, 2007 you have access to 1,149,276 articles and the ability to search for specific topics.

The articles that you have access to will keep you on top of the latest health related developments in your profession and across the entire health professions. The Nursing and Allied Health Collection is a database of articles from nearly 1000 scientific journals, newsletters, news sources and magazines. The focus is on Nursing and Allied Health (therapists and medical support staff) and includes many related topics such as information technology, sciences, education, law and government. You can use this database at the library or your Internet computer at home. Access scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers - many with full text and images!

To start using this database visit the Gale Database Menu for the Finkelstein Library (Click picture on the left).

When using the database from your home you will be asked to enter your library card bar code before getting to the menu. Once you are at the menu click the link for InfoTrac Nursing and Allied Health Collection . Click the image to go to the menu page. The help screen has many tips for finding what you are looking for. A user guide will be available from the Adult Reference desk (on the second floor) soon.
