A Meet & Greet with Director Laura M. Wolven

Sunday, March 24 from 3:30 – 5 PM at the Library

Sponsored by The Board of Trustees and Friends of the Finkelstein Memorial Library

Laura M. Wolven began her professional career at Finkelstein in 2005, working in different capacities until 2013, when she left to assume the director position at The Field Library in Peekskill. In 2016, Ms. Wolven moved on to work as the director of the Orangeburg Library.

Laura has now come full circle. After working in different settings and acquiring a wealth of knowledge and experiences, she has chosen to return to Finkelstein Memorial Library as director. “I could not be happier to come back to the place where I started my career and made many long-term friends and colleagues,” she said. The staff, the Board, and the Friends of Finkelstein Memorial Library are thrilled to welcome Director Wolven back to her professional roots here at Finkelstein.

Refreshments will be served at the Sunday reception. You might also want to enjoy the Music Makers concert at 2 PM beforehand in the Fielding Room. In addition, staff members will offer escorted tours after the concert to show you the great changes throughout the library. In addition, Anisio Correia from the Visions Center on Blindness will be on hand to give a brief presentation on the library’s new computers for the visually impaired.
